Beeotec’s food supplement is effective in reducing methane emissions
The compound, which can be administered via water, mineral salt or added to cattle feed.
Tests carried out by Central Queensland University, in Australia, found that Beeotec’s food supplement is effective in reducing methane emissions from the digestive process of ruminants, one of the main problems related to sustainability faced by agricultural production in the world.
The compound, which can be administered via water, mineral salt or added to cattle feed, is based on the active ingredient Beeocitrix, developed by Beeotec, patented globally and created from the improvement of the process of diluting propolis and other phytoextracts in water.
At CENTRAL QUEENSLAND UNIVERSITY, the solution has been tested as part of the Water-Based Livestock Methane Mitigation project, which seeks to examine various methane-reducing compounds to determine whether they can be administered to cattle safely and effectively.
The Brazilian solution stood out among more than 30 products analyzed, considering compounds and items that are already sold on the international market. Great news towards a more sustainable future!
